Martha I. Clyburn

The author, MARTHA I. CLYBURN, worked as a social worker and counselor for many years; this gave her the opportunity to work with people of all ages and conditions encompassing numerous problems. In these positions she learned about the many community services and resources which were available. She researched and designed a Community Services Directory for a county in metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia.  As a writer, photographer, and poet she has published three books, one on the crafts of the Blue Ridge Mountains for use in Adult Education classes; one on the history of Helen, Georgia, THE SPIRIT OF HELEN – A Trip Through Time in Georgia’s Alpine Village; TOWARD BETTER DAYS, a guide for caregivers; and WHY BE NORMAL? a humorous memoir about Bill (Pine Knott) Rector.
